Fish, Hike and Bike at Lakeshore State Park

You might be surprised to find a green space as expansive and beautiful as Lakeshore State Park in the heart of a bustling city, but that’s exactly where it sits in downtown Milwaukee. Situated right along Lake Michigan, Lakeshore State Park offers ample opportunities for recreation to hikers, bikers, and aquatic athletes alike.

All of its trails and facilities are currently open with some special social-distancing guidelines in place.

Between the hours of 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., take full advantage of your easy access to the great outdoors! Go for a walk or a bike ride along the multi-use trail, which eventually joins up with the Hank Aaron State Trail, the Oak Leaf Trail, and the Lakefront. BYO kayak and embark from Lakeshore State Park on an adventure atop the water. Or bring your fishing rod and cast your line into the waves from the shores of the park.
